The 6th installment of my Tucson Tales series. Around 8:30am on March 5th, a 3 year old giraffe named Msituni escaped her enclosure at Reid Park Zoo, delaying their usual 9 o’clock opening. Msituni found a mesquite tree to snack on and, after about 90 minutes of munching, decided she had enough and returned to the enclosure on her own. The giraffe exhibit is currently closed to the public while the zoo works on long term modifications to their habitat.
